How long will my treatment be?
Frequency and duration of your treatment is an individualized conversation you will have with a clinician prior to the start of your treatment. Our recommendations for your specific treatment are based on a variety of factors and result from a discussion at intake and throughout treatment. Please visit our Programs page to find more information about the typical lengths of our programs.
I have never been to therapy, what should I expect?
How long are the sessions? Typically, sessions with a clinician, coach, or other members of your treatment team are about an hour long, but this can vary. At Project Courage, you will experience a warm, non-judgmental, and comfortable environment which promotes safety and hope.
Do you have a prescriber for medication management?
Yes, we have APRNs on staff that can prescribe medications to our current clients. You must be involved in one of our programs in order to receive medication services. We do not provide medication management as the only service. We believe that medication can be a very helpful tool for someone’s recovery and stabilization, and also feel strongly that this needs to be in conjunction with other services like therapy or recovery coaching.
Who will be involved in my treatment?
Significant others and family members are welcomed and recommended to participate in your treatment. We believe that community and support is vital to recovery. Ultimately, this decision is yours to make.
If I relapse, will I get kicked out?
No, we understand that relapse is often part of the recovery journey. Understanding what has led to a relapse can be used as a tool to fuel the next phase of the journey and prevention planning.
How many people are in groups?
Our goal is not to exceed ten people in any group. Group size varies and is monitored closely to create a safe space where trust can be formed.
What age range do you serve?
The age range of our clients begins at 14 and from there, moves on through all stages of adulthood.
